Your ProgressYour Way

EGProgress Academy is not a booking, it’s a statement of intent. Apply as an individual on a day and time that suits your schedule, join a group that is already forming at your level, or lock in a group of four mates for six weeks of structured coaching in the same slot each week.

Join the Academy
One pathway. Six waypoints.

Here is how it works.

From choosing your preferences to stepping on court.

Step 1
Pick your tier
Choose the level that matches your game. If you don’t know your current level, give us a call and we will help.
Step 2
Browse
See groups that are already partially complete. Join a slot that suits, or tell us when you can play and we will start a new group around those times.
Step 3
Your four locks in
Once four players are confirmed for the same slot, the group is formed. Everyone gets notified and we start looking at dates.
Step 4
We find your dates
Six consecutive sessions go into the calendar, generally with a start date at least two weeks away.
Step 5
Meet your group
A private WhatsApp chat opens for the group with the proposed dates. If the dates do not work for everyone, negotiate among yourselves - and let the EGP team know what you agree, all in the chat.
Step 6
First session
Same court. Same coach. Same four people. Six weeks of structured coaching that actually moves our game.
Play at your level.

The EGPathway that gets you to the games you want, sustainably.

No need to start at the beginning. Join at the tier that matches your game right now.

Primer
1 group forming
Levels 1.0 - 1.75
If you are new to padel or just getting started - welcome, we can’t wait to see you on court more. These four sessions build the foundation for the game and introduce you to your first group of padel friends. Fresher’s week for padel with none of the weird initiation rites.
We work on the fundamentals - positioning, basic groundstrokes, the serve, and how to move as a pair. By session four, we have three new people to play with.
Module 1 - Getting Comfortable
Time to get used to why Padel is not squash, Tennis or any other racket sport. We will get you into the right habits from the off - where to stand and why, how mistakes matter and why the lob is the most important shot you can master.
Module 2 - Push for Perfection
Padel is all about the Ps. Position, Preparation, Push. We will show you how to eliminate the whack and find your Padel zen. Less power will give you more perfection. Preparation and position will help you start to understand how to profit.
Module 3 - A Touch of Glass
This is all about the third member of your team. Who's that? Well, the answer is transparent - it's the glass. We will shatter the glass fear and give you a clear sight of how to embrace the ball on the wall.
Module 4 - Bet on the Net
You've heard of net gain - Padel is all about the net. It's where you want to be and if you're not there, you want to get there. We'll look at how to take and hold the net, the theory behind the volley and why 80% of points are won there.
Improver
Levels 1.75 - 2.25
We know the basics. Six sessions to sharpen our game and start playing with real intent.
We build on what we have. Better consistency, smarter shot selection, starting to use the walls.
Module 1 - Prepare, Position & Purpose
Master the 3Ps of Padel and you will be right on track to level up your game. Preparation, positioning and how those go together for the right outcome - the purpose - are crucial to making good decisions.
Module 2 - Serve & Return
The key to getting those points going. We will work through the three key variations of a serve, when to use them and how to return them. We'll make sure we are in the right place to maximise the advantage that serving brings.
Module 3 - The Glass
Love it or hate it, you need to deal with it. This part of the course will teach us to treat the glass as the third player in our pairing. We'll learn when to let it hit the glass and how to deal with that, as well as the basics of the corners.
Module 4 - The Net & Volleys
It's where the action is. We'll show you why it matters and how we can start to control the most important part of the court. Solid net play will bring great results and put pressure on opponents.
Module 5 - Bounce or Bandeja?
Part of controlling the net is knowing how to recover it when the opposition are trying to push us to the back of the court. The Bandeja is the key shot, used wisely, that will help us retain the net and build pressure on the other side.
Module 6 - Points
The business end of the game. Padel is about pressure and if we learn how to build this on the opposition from our side of the net, we will be well on our way to success. Remember - we do not win at Padel, we encourage the opposition to lose.
Intermediate
Levels 2.25 - 2.75
We are competitive. Six sessions to add tactical depth and elevate every match we play.
We get tactical. Court positioning, net play, reading opponents, building points rather than just hitting them.
Module 1 - Patient Points
A rush of blood to the head worked for Coldplay but it's less good for padel play. Build, build, build is the key and this will be an hour of learning how to be patient and steady in the build-up. It's all about the negotiation phase.
Module 2 - The Glass
The glass is class and this is our glass class. Learn to love the clear stuff and we will never look back. This part of the course covers how to use it, how to read it and when to turn it to our advantage.
Module 3 - The Cage
Sometimes the cage will just punish us every time but there are ways to give ourselves the best possible chance. We'll cover a range of tips, tricks, rules and rulos to turn the metal bit to our advantage more often than not.
Module 4 - Overhead Choices
Bandejas, Viboras, Smashes. So many choices and making the right one is crucial. We'll look at how to make decisions around attacking and defending in zone two, why power is often not our friend and how to use overheads to finish points.
Module 5 - Positioning As A Pair
It's easy to forget that Padel is a team sport. Covering the right areas of the court as a pair and communicating well will be the biggest padel hack we can activate in this course. Do not miss module five.
Module 6 - Pace Matters
With all of the above under our belts, we will be starting to understand that playing at our pace and dictating the speed of points allows us to control our matches. Learning when to apply pace and when to slow things down is the aim here.
Advanced
1 group forming
Levels 2.75 - 3.25
Our game is strong. Six sessions pushing into the upper levels of club play.
We refine. High-performance habits, advanced net play, pressure situations, match strategy. For players who want to compete seriously.
Module 1 - Making Time
It's no accident that the best padel players seem to have all the time in the world. Experience on the court and familiarity with the geometry is what makes time. We have come this far and now we will show you how to double down.
Module 2 - Three Shots Later
This is all about accountability. That look we give our partner when the ball is smashed past them? Park it. We probably put them in that position three shots ago. Understanding this and all it entails makes us better players.
Module 3 - It's Good To Talk
Communication is key. Keeping a flow of the right information to our partner during points will set us on the right road to win our matches. Strategy and planning between points is also crucial. This module looks at how we can use our voices to gain advantage.
Module 4 - Changing Momentum
We are a set down and 4-0 behind in the second. How do we turn it around? Padel is all about moments and momentum. Changing the outcome is entirely in our power if we do the right things when the chips are down.
Module 5 - Risk & Reward
We have all hit those shots and immediately regretted the choice. Understanding when risk is appropriate and when it will result in reward more often than not will help us find the fine margins that make the difference.
Module 6 - You've Earnt It
Not only have we completed the Progression Academy, we've got to the stage where we understand that this sport will punish us if we pick the wrong moment to play a winner. Time to unpick the winning paradox.
Progression
Levels 3.25 - 3.75
Four coached matchplay sessions for players looking to kick on into the upper level ranges and play competitively.
By now, you will know that your partner and how you play together is important. Sign up as a pair to work together - or if you are still looking for the one - think of this as an audition process for future partners to take on the top competition scenarios.
Module 1 - The Problem With Weapons
Your bandeja is excellent. Your backhand volley is reliable. So why does it keep going wrong? Because good opponents do not let you play your shots - they take them away. This session is about understanding how clever players neutralise what you are good at, and what to do when your weapons are holstered.
Module 2 - Thinking Before Hitting
At this level, the shot before the shot you are playing matters more than the one you are about to play. We introduce conditioned play scenarios that force decisions in fractions of a second - where to move, what shot creates the problem rather than just clears it, and how to read what is coming before it arrives.
Module 3 - Controlling the Middle
The middle of the court is where Progression padel is won and lost. We look at how pairs dominate central territory, how to create and exploit gaps, and - critically - how to stop opponents doing the same to us. Simple principle, complex execution. This is where the depth arrives.
Module 4 - Matchplay Conditions
We play. Coached matchplay with conditions applied mid-point by your coach - shot restrictions, zone constraints, mandatory decisions. The objective is not to win the point, it is to solve the puzzle. Frustrating, revelatory, and the fastest way to add two years of experience in one session.
Pursuit
Levels 3.75+
Elite development. The highest tier of the EGProgress Academy. TeamEGP pathway.
Access the highest level of coaching at the club and join the stronger groups for matchplay coaching. Applications only taken from pairs of players, trios, or fully-formed fours.
Adding at least one other player to your application is required.
Module 1 - Pressure as a System
Elite Padel is not about the spectacular moment, it is about the system that creates it. We look at how to build pressure as a deliberate, repeatable structure - not a happy accident. What does a pressure point look like three shots in, not one? And how does a pair move together to construct it without either player breaking the pattern?
Module 2 - Reading the Opposition
The best players in the world are always two shots ahead. Not because they are faster, but because they are watching things most players are not. We train this explicitly - what to look at, when to look, and how to communicate what you see to your partner in the middle of a point without either of you losing the thread.
Module 3 - Scenario Lab
Coached scenario training. Your coach introduces match situations that are specifically designed to isolate the moments where high-level players lose points - not through errors, but through the wrong decision at the right time. We work backwards from the mistake to find the thinking that caused it.
Module 4 - The Fine Margins
A session dedicated to the details that separate good from exceptional. Court geometry at the highest level, the marginal positioning decisions that open or close options, and the mental discipline to execute under pressure what you have drilled without it. Pursuit padel is calm padel.
